Years of Service

Looking for a store that has longevity? Columbus Carpet & Linoleum LLC has over 73 years of experience in Columbus, Indiana. To get the most from a company, they need to be around before, during, and after the sale. Approximately 50% of Bartholomew County companies fail in the first five years. While being new in the Indiana market doesn't always mean a company isn't reliable, being in business for awhile means Columbus Carpet & Linoleum LLC has earned the trust of consumers in Columbus and the surrounding communities since 1949.

Family Owned

In 1949, Columbus Linoleum Store was founded by Walter L. Powell at 1948 McKinnley Ave. At that time the telephone number was #21915. (Today it has a few extra numbers before it and you don't need the switchboard operators assistance.)

In 1981, the family business was transferred to Michael Powell. Due to the change in product demands, the name was then changed to Columbus Carpet & Linoleum, Inc.

In 2011, the legacy continued to the third generation with Jason Powell.

While products and ownership have changed over the years, one of the things that has not, is the Powell's dedication to customer service.

Today Columbus Carpet & Linoleum, LLC serves clients for residential and commercial flooring throughout the state of Indiana. If you are in need of hardwood, ceramic, residential vinyl, heat-weld inlaid vinyl, carpet, cork, bamboo, glass tile/block, luxury vinyl tile, or cabinetry, stop in or give us a call and experience a "real flooring store" yourself.
